About The Position

Saint Luke's South Rehab Institute is seeking a PAI Coordinator. This is a part-time position, working 20 hours per week. The schedule is 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on Mondays and Tuesdays, and 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Wednesdays. No weekends are required. The role is responsible for the accurate and timely collection, documentation, and transmission of the IRF-PAI document to CMS through the UDS software program. This position oversees all aspects of data collection for the IRF-PAI and ensures that supporting documentation is present in the medical record. The PAI Coordinator must have extensive knowledge and understanding of CMS regulations for the IRF-PAI. This role collaborates with physicians and coding to support medical necessity, and with the Education Department to ensure therapy, nursing, and care progression teams are educated on the IRF-PAI. Responsibilities include continuous monitoring and real-time feedback on IRF-PAI documentation entered in the medical record by the team, and collaboration with Epic builders to optimize IRF-PAI documentation. The coordinator will collect and report on data from UDS as determined by management, follow and prepare the team for CMS updates or changes, and participate in quality initiatives. There is a possibility of participating in patient care. The role requires demonstrated leadership and strong communication skills. Travel between entities is required.

Requirements

  • Physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, or nursing licensure.
  • Applicable Experience: 2 years Physical Therapist (KS) - Kansas State Board of Healing Arts
  • Bachelor's Degree
