About The Position

Saint Luke's South Rehab Institute is seeking a PAI Coordinator. This part-time position involves 20 hours per week and is responsible for the accurate and timely collection, documentation, and transmission of the IRF-PAI document to CMS through the UDS software program. The role oversees all aspects of data collection for the IRF-PAI, ensures supporting documentation is present in the medical record, and requires extensive knowledge of CMS regulations for the IRF-PAI. The PAI Coordinator collaborates with physicians and coding to support medical necessity, and with the Education Department to ensure therapy, nursing, and care progression teams are educated on the IRF-PAI. This role involves continuous monitoring and real-time feedback on IRF-PAI documentation, collaboration with Epic builders to optimize documentation, and collecting/reporting data from UDS as determined by management. The coordinator also follows and prepares the team for CMS updates or changes, participates in quality initiatives, and may participate in patient care. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the CMS regulations for the IRF-PAI.
  • Physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy or nursing licensure.
  • Travel between entities required.
  • 2 years of applicable experience.
  • Physical Therapist (KS) - Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
