About The Position

The New York Post is a multi-platform media company with a strong presence in news, sports, pop culture, and entertainment. The Page Six Column Intern will join the PageSix team and immerse themselves in the world of celebrity news, pop culture, and entertainment. This is an opportunity for a passionate, creative intern who is obsessed with celebrities and eager to contribute to exciting journalism. The internship is designed to provide hands-on experience, allowing interns to work on meaningful projects, participate in career-building masterclasses, and build relationships within the company. Page Six, originally a gossip column, has evolved into a leading digital brand focused on celebrity news, pop culture, and entertainment, reaching millions of readers daily with exclusive stories and breaking news.

Requirements

• Strong news judgment with the ability to identify and prioritize important stories.
• Excellent writing skills and the ability to craft compelling, engaging content.
• Self-starter who is able to work independently and take initiative.
• A genuine passion for celebrity culture, entertainment, and pop culture.
• Highly attuned to trending topics and emerging stories in the world of entertainment.
• Currently a junior or senior pursuing a BA, a MA student, or a recent graduate who completed their degree within the past year.
• Must be able to attend in-office at the Midtown Manhattan office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the PageSix team to brainstorm and pitch ideas for breaking news, features, and photo galleries.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as transcribing and research to support reporters.
• Write engaging stories covering all things pop culture, from celebrity news to entertainment trends.
• Help track and follow trending topics in the celebrity world to stay ahead of the curve.
