About The Position

Altea is Canada’s premier fitness and wellness destination, offering a unique blend of boutique studios, modern recovery, and lifestyle amenities under one membership. We are seeking a Paddle Coach who possesses both technical expertise and infectious energy for the court. This role is crucial in introducing many Altea members to the sport of padel and shaping its presence within the club. The ideal candidate will be able to lead structured clinics with purpose and transform open play sessions into engaging experiences for players of all levels, fostering a welcoming court culture.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated padel experience playing, coaching, or facilitating at any level.
  • Comfortable leading groups of mixed abilities in both clinic and open play formats.
  • Warm, clear communicator who builds an inclusive and energizing court environment.
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C, maintained annually.
  • Criminal Background Check required prior to commencement.

Nice To Haves

  • Padel Canada certification or equivalent is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Structured Clinics: Develop and execute skill-based padel programming for all levels, ensuring beginners build confidence, developing players sharpen technique, and all participants gain valuable skills.
  • Facilitate Open Play: Organize and manage well-paced open play sessions, ensuring fair court rotation and a welcoming environment for all participants.
  • Grow the Community: Introduce members to the sport of padel, build excitement, and cultivate a court culture that encourages retention and engagement.
  • Represent the Standard: Maintain professionalism, thorough preparation, and a high level of care for participants, reflecting positively on the Altea brand in all sessions.
