As a PACU Registered Nurse (Per Diem), you'll play a vital role in bringing that mission to life. Working closely with our PACU Charge Nurse in daily clinical operations, you'll help planning, directing, coordinating, and providing high quality, individualized patient care in the pre-operative period of the patient’s surgical experience. In this role, you will participate in direct patient care including maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment. You'll perform pre/post-operative teaching to patients and/ or their significant other along with managing patient complications, emergencies, preoperatively, as well as postoperatively. It’s crucial that you maintain a professional demeanor for the patient and staff members, effectively communicate and set a positive patient experience for them and their families. Additionally, you’ll be expected to utilize appropriate services when needed to communicate with all staff members and patients with speech and hearing disorders to ensure the highest standards of patient experience and patient safety.
