About The Position
H/K/B Cosmetic Surgery has an exciting opportunity for a full-time PACU RN to join our upscale plastic surgery center in Huntersville, NC! This position would be Monday - Friday, 4 days a week and typically 10 hour shifts between the hours of 8:00 am - 8:00 pm.
Requirements
- Associate's degree required
- Valid RN license required
- 2 years of RN experience
- PACU experience required
- Equivalent combination of school and work experience
- Self-driven, able to work as part of a team and motivated for a fast-paced environment
- Critical thinking skills and ability to concentrate
- Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Providing PACU coverage to 2 patients at a time
- Assisting with OR turnover
- Stocking supplies
- Daily perioperative tasks for surgical case preparation
- Monitoring post-operative patients who are in the immediate phases of recovery from a surgical procedure through discharge
- Monitor vital signs, level of consciousness, perform dressing changes, administer necessary medications
- Assess overall status and educate patients and their families about home care instructions
- Proper EMR documentation
