The center utilizes technology for surgeons across various specialties including Anesthesiology, Ear, Nose, and Throat, Head and Neck Surgery, General Surgery, Gynecology, Ophthalmology/Oculoplastic, Orthopedic Surgery, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, Spine Surgery, and Urology/Lithotripsy. The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, continually evaluating their condition, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy. This role may involve assisting physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques. The nurse will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
