The PACT Representative I is responsible for seamlessly linking the patient experience between PACT and the practice site. This role involves assisting inbound callers using facility/provider information and established policies, making outbound calls when necessary, and escalating complex problems for resolution. The representative will also perform basic technical troubleshooting for online applications, systems, or access issues. Key duties include scheduling patient appointments, coordinating cancellations and reschedules, obtaining and verifying demographic and insurance information, and ensuring accuracy in the medical record. The role also requires identifying emergent calls, following procedures for escalation to a Registered Nurse, and adhering to guidelines for emergency situations and critical call handling. The representative will determine patient needs, routing them for triage, scheduling, medication refill requests, and paging providers. Providing excellent customer service according to departmental standards, asking clarifying questions, presenting options, and escalating only necessary situations are crucial. The role also supports organizational marketing efforts through information provision and database updates. Maintaining knowledge of and efficient utilization of information systems is essential.
