About The Position

The PACT Co-Occurring Clinical Staff (PCLC, LCPC, SWLC, LCSW) is a full-time, exempt position located in Helena. This role involves providing case management, direct clinical services, and supportive therapy to clients with severe and persistent mental illnesses. The staff member will be responsible for developing and implementing treatment plans, coordinating with the treatment team, educating families, and advocating for clients. The position requires maintaining productivity standards, completing clinical records, and collaborating with various agencies and community resources. The role also includes emergency services, on-call duties, and potentially benefits counseling and consultation to other employees and external groups. A valid Montana driver's license and vehicle insurance are required, with the possibility of transporting clients.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a college or university with a master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychiatric rehabilitation, or psychology.
  • Must be working toward licensure in Montana and have strong clinical skills and experience providing treatment to persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses.
  • Must have a clear understanding of the characteristics and problems of adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses and be knowledgeable about the PACT model.
  • Must maintain licensure in the state of Montana.
  • Must have a valid Montana driver's license and valid vehicle insurance.
  • Must pass Background Checks and Motor Vehicle Record Check.

  • Licensed LCPC or LCSW is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides case management for an assigned group of clients including coordinating and monitoring the activities of the individual treatment team (ITT); assumes primary responsibility for developing, writing, implementing, evaluating, and revising overall treatment goals and plans in conjunction with the ITT.
  • Provides individual supportive therapy and symptom management, ensuring immediate changes are made in the treatment plans as clients’ needs change.
  • Educates and supports clients’ families, and advocates for clients’ rights and preferences.
  • Conducts comprehensive assessment of psychiatric history, physical health and dental health; use of drugs or alcohol; education and employment; social development and functioning; activities of daily living; and family structure and relationships.
  • Provides direct clinical services to clients on an individual, group, and family basis in the office and in community settings to teach behavioral symptom management techniques to alleviate and manage symptoms not reduced with medication and to promote personal growth and development by assisting clients to adapt to and cope with internal and external stresses.
  • Maintains a consistent level of productivity, achieving three (3) contacts per week per PACT client across the team.
  • Provides individual supportive therapy (e.g., problem solving, role playing, modeling, and support), social skill development, and assertiveness training to increase client social and interpersonal activities in community settings.
  • Maintains and completes clinical records on all clients in accordance with MRWH policies.
  • Initiates and maintains relationships in coordination with other employees, with law enforcement and other human service agencies, and with informal community resources (e.g., landlords and employers).
  • Must be able to work weeknights, weekends, and holidays for medication delivery rotation.
  • Performs emergency services both during and after normal work hours and performs on-call duty for crisis intervention and for employee supervision and consultation.
  • May provide benefits counseling (Supplemental Security Income (SSI), veteran’s benefits, etc.).
  • Provides consultation to other employees as requested and participates in staffing of cases.
  • May provide consultation and education services to individuals, agencies, institutions, and groups as assigned.
  • Must have a valid Montana driver's license and valid vehicle insurance. May transport clients in personal vehicle.
  • Participates in in-service training and attends outpatient employee meetings as directed by immediate supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
