About The Position

Implements and maintains radiology systems, including PACS, RIS, and voice systems, and ensures their functionality. Supports efficient PACS operations in alignment with the organization's mission while safeguarding the integrity of images and related information. The role includes on-call coverage as required by the department and is based onsite at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with variable hours as needed for system upgrades, project implementations, downtime events, and rotating evening, weekend, and holiday on-call coverage.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in radiology, a health-related field, or computer science.
• Three years of experience in radiology and/or technology/IT.
• Knowledge of radiology operations.
• Knowledge of PACS, RIS, voice systems, and their functionality.
• Knowledge of the Windows operating system, UNIX, and associated tools.
• Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds; frequent sitting/standing and keyboard use are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs care, support, rollout, and maintenance of radiology systems, including PACS, RIS, and voice systems.
• Configures, maintains, and documents user access, user profiles, and system configurations.
• Monitors image quality and calibration.
• Provides instruction and training to users.
• Maintains image integrity, including correct patient IDs, MRNs, and labeling.
• Performs system backups on a daily and weekly basis.
