About The Position

Implements and maintains radiology systems, including PACS, RIS, and voice systems, and supports their functionality. Ensures efficient PACS operation in support of the organization's mission and safeguards the integrity of images and information. The position includes rotating on-call coverage as required by the department, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role is onsite at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest, with a Monday–Friday schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and variable hours as needed for system upgrades, project implementations, and downtime events.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in radiology, a health-related field, or computer science.
• Three years of experience in radiology and/or technology/IT.
• Knowledge of radiology operations.
• Knowledge of PACS, RIS, voice systems, and their functionality.
• Knowledge of the Windows operating system, UNIX, and associated tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, support, rollout, and maintenance for radiology systems, including PACS, RIS, and voice systems.
• Configure, maintain, and document user access, user profiles, and system configurations.
• Monitor image quality and calibration.
• Instruct and train users.
• Maintain image integrity, including correct patient identification, MRNs, and labeling.
• Perform system backups daily and weekly.
