About The Position

Century Linen & Uniform is seeking detail-oriented bulk item packers. This position involves preparing carts with bulk items for shipment to customer locations. Packout staff work with our manifest team, where each member takes on roles such as manually packing carts, ensuring correct item quantities, bundling items, and ensuring bulk carts meet our standards for presentation, clean product, and proper order fulfillment.

Requirements

• Reading and writing comprehension, computer and math skills typically associated with a high school level education.
• Quality orientation and high attention to detail.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
• Strong teamwork skills- ready and willingness to work closely with team members.
• Open to and able to work day or night shifts, and willing to rotate shifts depending on production needs.
• Open to long hours and working weekends (Sat/Sun).
• Standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting 50 lbs. or more and stooping.
• Ability to move rolling carts of varying weights – up to and exceeding approximately 250lbs.
• Being able to meet the physical demands for the entire shift.
• Constant standing, bending, stooping, walking and the ability to lift and handle material with weights up to 50 lbs. or more.
• Constant pushing/pulling laundry carts.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience working in a plant environment.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Responsibilities

• Check packing orders.
• Line carts with plastic.
• Operate on a conveyor line system.
• Retrieve cleaned/dried linens which have been bundled and load them into carts.
• Weigh carts and enter weight into a computer.
• Stage Carts for Manifest.
