About The Position

Amcor is committed to making packaging safer, cleaner and more sustainable. We are looking for a Packing associate to join our team. This role is responsible for accurately packaging product, maintaining machinery, and ensuring quality specifications are met. The ideal candidate will have a GUNG-HO attitude and a commitment to safety and good manufacturing practices.

Requirements

Must have a GUNG-HO attitude in support of the Berry Plastics vision statement, goals, and company culture
Must follow and encourage GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices)
Must ensure that safety is a priority by following all safety procedures
Must be able to train and mentor new hires and temporary employees

Responsibilities

Accurately package product as determined by supervisor (includes labeling, packing, computer entries)
Stack or arrange packaged product in the proper manner on the correct skid
Maintain machinery in proper working order by filling proper supplies, make adjustments as needed, identify potential problems and get help as needed
Keep machine and work area clean
Maintain acceptable rate
Ensure product being packed meets specifications through inspection (correct computer set-up, right label on boxes/right number of rolls in box/put on the right skid)
Follow rules to ensure work is performed in a safe manner
