About The Position

This role involves operating and maintaining packaging machines, inspecting products, and ensuring quality control on the packing line. Responsibilities include cleaning the work area, preparing products for packaging, and transporting finished goods to designated areas. The position requires adherence to food safety and health regulations, including cGMPs and proper use of PPE.

Requirements

Knowledge of the products manufactured in Highland Baking
Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including cGMP’s, Proper use of PPE, and Knowledge of Color Coding Policies
Ability to use various machines
Good communication skills to deliver valuable teamwork
Able to follow and execute instructions
Accurate, patient, careful, responsible, and quick and alert
Dedicated to the achievement of Highland Baking Company and the department’s goals

Responsibilities

Operating and maintaining packaging machines
Inspecting and selecting products
Cleaning and organizing the packaging area
Checking the quality of prepared products
Accommodating racks with product at the beginning of the packing line
Placing finished product on a conveyor, slicer machine, or bagger machine
Assessing quality and selecting the finished product
Cleaning trays/molds/pans and arranging them on pallets for reuse
Placing packed product in pre-assembled and labeled boxes or plastic trays
Stacking boxes of products according to specifications
Transporting stacked products to the wrapping machine
Transporting wrapped pallet to the Shipping staging area for QA check and release to the Freezer
Reporting any and all food safety issues to supervisor or management staff in a timely manner
Other duties as assigned
