This role involves working in all areas of the packing department, operating associated equipment safely and productively, and ensuring materials are packed to customer specifications. The position requires the ability to operate jib cranes and overhead cranes, read special instructions for customer requirements, and inspect materials during loading/unloading at furnaces and when packing hard materials. Recording information into the computer system and maintaining a clean and orderly workspace are also key responsibilities. Collaboration with colleagues is essential, and employees may be asked to perform duties in other departments as required by the Production Supervisor.

Requirements

Ability to work in all areas of the packing department.
Ability to operate all associated equipment in a safe and productive manner.
Ability to operate jib cranes and overhead cranes in a safe and productive manner.
Ability to read special instructions.
Ability to inspect material.
Ability to record information into the computer system.
Ability to keep work area clean and orderly.
Ability to work well with people.

Responsibilities

Work in all areas of the packing department.

Pack material to customer specifications.
Operate jib cranes and overhead cranes in a safe and productive manner.
Read special instructions to meet customers’ requirements on specifications.
Inspect material as it is being loaded or unloaded at furnaces and when packing hard material.
Record information into the computer system when required.
Keep the work area clean and orderly daily.
Work well with people in the area.
Perform other duties in different departments during the day if Production Supervisor requires it.
