About The Position

This is a temporary position ending December 26, 2026. The Packing Clerk is a production-focused role responsible for accurately packaging food products in a dynamic Central Kitchen environment. This position functions as a general packing role and supports multiple production lines by packing, labeling, weighing, and preparing products for storage and distribution. The position can be taught to individuals with no prior experience and requires attention to detail, efficiency, and strict adherence to food safety standards.

Requirements

• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
• Ability to understand, speak, read, and follow instructions in English or Spanish.
• Ability to read basic recipes, labels, and safety instructions.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers.
• Ability to accurately measure ingredients using standard units of measure.
• Ability to follow written, verbal, and demonstrated instructions.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out routine production tasks.
• Must remain standing and walking for extended periods.
• Must use hands and fingers to manipulate, feel, and operate tools, equipment, and controls.
• Must reach with hands and arms; crouch, bend, kneel, squat, or crawl as needed.
• Must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally lift heavier items.
• Must perform repetitive motions and physically demanding tasks.
• Must have close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in food production, cooking, bakery, or manufacturing is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Pack food products manually and/or utilizing packaging equipment in accordance with production standards.
• Operate, start, stop, and regulate conveyor belts and basic packaging equipment as needed.
• Insert, pour, portion, and fill products into containers.
• Weigh containers and adjust quantities to meet specifications.
• Close, seal, label, and date containers, packages, or products.
• Cut and portion food as needed to properly fill containers.
• Pack special arrangements or product configurations as assigned.
• Obtain, sort, and prepare products and packaging materials for production.
• Meet production schedules and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Wash, cut, and cook food in a limited capacity to support packing operations.
• Assist with basic food handling and preparation prior to packaging.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work area at all times.
• Clean and sanitize packaging equipment, tools, and workstations.
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning tasks as required.
• Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Comply with Bristol Farms and Lazy Acres food safety and quality guidelines.
• Report any safety hazards, equipment issues, or quality concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards as per the employee handbook.
• Meet and exceed company standards in food safety, quality, cleanliness, and productivity.
• Perform other duties related to packing or production as assigned.
