We operate in Canada as Engineered Lifting Systems and Equipment (ELS)/DBA Gorbel® Canada, and subsequent communication related to Canadian positions may show the ELS name. You may be contacted by phone by recruitment personnel based in either Canada or New York. The Packing Auditor is responsible for conducting inspection of packing jobs for quality and conformance. The Packing Auditor will pack and wrap containers, band and tie products and materials in preparation for shipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years packing experience preferred
• Computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programs
• Basic mathematical skills
• Ability to use hand tools requiring dexterity
• Ability to read tape measure
• Ability to read a blue print
• Must be able to communicate effectively with factory supervision

Responsibilities

• Inspect packing orders for completeness ensure orders conform to packing lists
• Ensure material quality and cleanliness prior to packaging; examine parts and replace broken items
• Arrange for touch–up painting of parts as needed
• Ensure orders are packed in observance to shipping schedules
• Complete all required documentation including taking photographs of the contents and filing electronically
• Coach and provide feedback on discrepancies in order
• All other duties as assigned by management
