About The Position
The Packhouse Associate will be responsible for harvesting and packaging fresh leafy greens according to customer requirements, while following strict food safety standards. This is a temporary position to support short-term operational needs.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Flexibility to work in a variety of areas and tasks, as necessary
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Comfortable working with automated equipment
Responsibilities
- Harvest and pack orders for delivery
- Working in multiple areas all related to packaging and harvesting product
- Record and document information related to everyday duties and food safety
- Prepare and track cumulative harvesting and packing totals
- Complete daily operational checklists
- Clean work areas and systems including pack-lines, harvest, and other equipment according to GFSI checklist
- Communicate and cooperate with coworkers, supervisors, and managers
- Follow quality, food safety and service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Participate in any required company training, including safety and food safety
- Any other jobs or activities that may occur during the harvesting and packing processes
- Assist and perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
- Maintain a clean workspace to minimize contamination
