About The Position
This position requires the employee to follow and enforce Silgan Safety, Quality, and GMP policies. The role involves providing quality verification and inspections of all manufacturing activities and management systems. Responsibilities include packing and stacking assigned lines as required per procedures, performing rework as assigned, and completing label changes, screen wipes, and ink replenishment. The Packer will record all hourly checks and machine downtime, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and possess a working knowledge of quality standards and pertinent procedures. The role also involves assisting other shifts when needed and understanding stacking patterns, job folders, and customer specifications. Reporting all unsafe acts or conditions and following all company procedures and policies are crucial. Support activities and functions include providing input and assistance with general duties and supporting other departments when needed. This job description covers the most significant recurring duties but does not preclude other special project assignments.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Working knowledge of quality.
- Complete understanding of all quality and pertinent procedures.
- Understanding of stacking patterns, job folders and customer specifications.
