About The Position

Herr Foods Inc. is seeking a part-time Packer for its Nottingham, Pennsylvania team in the Production department. The role assembles and labels boxes for products coming off the production line, checks product bags and cases for correct seals, codes, dates, and prices, removes defective products, and cleans and sanitizes work areas and plant equipment. The position also includes entering and maintaining manufacturing and inventory information in the ERP system.

The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Additional hours may be required due to business demands. Applicants must complete a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and preplacement screening of the position’s physical requirements. This part-time position is benefit eligible.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
• Must be able to work with latex gloves, airborne seasoning, cardboard dust, cleaning solutions, and hot water.
• Must be able to work in a noisy and fast-paced environment.
• Must have good balance on slippery surfaces.
• Must be able to sustain concentration for up to 3 hours at a time.
• Must complete a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and preplacement screening of the position’s physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and label boxes to be filled with products off the production line.
• Ensure proper seals, codes, dates, and prices on product bags and cases are correct.
• Remove defective products from the production line.
• Clean and sanitize the work area and plant equipment.
• Accurately enter and track manufacturing data in the ERP system, including production orders, materials, and finished goods.
• Update and maintain ERP records to reflect real-time production status, material usage, and equipment maintenance.
• Enter production and manufacturing data into the ERP system, including raw material consumption, machine usage, labor hours, and quality control data.
• Track inventory levels in real time and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely material replenishment.
• Perform other ERP responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
