About The Position
Novolex is hiring a Packer in Milesburg, Pennsylvania. The role is responsible for inspecting finished product, packing and documenting cases, stacking product on pallets, supporting the Converting Operator, and maintaining a safe, clean work area. The position works 12-hour swing shifts: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for one month, rotating on the first Monday every other month to 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Compensation is $18.00 per hour. Overtime may be required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Work overtime as required.
- Satisfactorily complete training courses as determined by management.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.
- Commitment to working safely and continuing to learn and develop.
Responsibilities
- Understand and follow all job safety analyses (JSAs) and safety procedures and policies.
- Inspect finished product continuously before it is packed into cartons and notify the bag line operator of quality issues.
- Weigh and number cases and complete the required documentation.
- Stack finished product evenly and correctly on pallets.
- Assist the Converting Operator with roll changes and other assigned tasks.
- Check that all safety guards at the station are in place and working properly.
- Perform quality checks and complete related documentation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
