The 3rd Shift Packer is responsible for inspecting, packing, labeling, and preparing finished products for shipment in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures products meet quality standards, are packaged according to specifications, and are handled safely and efficiently to support production and customer requirements. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 1-2 years packaging experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills a must.
  • Good English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to read and write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior forklift experience preferred or ability to obtain forklift license with training.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect finished products for package count, damage or quality issues before packaging.
  • Manually pack products according to company standards, customer specifications, and work instructions.
  • Generate computerized labels.
  • Label cartons, boxes, and pallets accurately.
  • Count, sort, and organize products prior to moving to staging area for shipment.
  • Maintain accurate production and packing records.
  • Ensure packaging materials are stocked and available at workstations.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) where applicable.
  • All other duties as assigned.
