About The Position

Performs a variety of repetitive operations to package Company product prior to shipping. Actively promotes teamwork atmosphere and supports team development. Ensures quality of parts before forwarding them to next operation/process.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Frequent mental and visual attention where the flow is intermittent with intermittent checking.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand and occasionally required to walk, sit, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift.
  • Ability to frequently use hands and fingers to operate machine controls, tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and components weighing up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach as required to load, unload, and inspect parts and equipment.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions involving the hands, wrists, and arms.
  • Ability to visually inspect parts, read blueprints, technical drawings, work instructions, gauges, and measuring devices.
  • Ability to distinguish colors, dimensions, and surface defects when performing quality inspections.
  • Ability to hear and communicate effectively in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to safely operate equipment in a fast-paced production setting while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, and other equipment as required.
  • Ability to work in an environment with exposure to machine noise, metal chips, cutting fluids, lubricants, and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and work scheduled shifts, including overtime as required.

Responsibilities

  • 100% inspects work pieces for cosmetic appearance and obvious non-conformities.
  • Uses picks, files and chisels to remove excess metal.
  • Read and interpret work instructions correctly.
  • Wrap work pieces in appropriate wrapping materials.
  • Place wrapped parts in shipping containers.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of work area and the general housekeeping of the Company.
  • Reports any unsafe conditions to Supervisor/Management.
  • Keeps the supervisor informed of broken or damaged tooling that needs to be replaced.
  • Other duties as assigned.
