Requirements

  • Ability to work safely and follow all company safety and Food Safe procedures.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
  • Ability to learn, retain, and accurately identify product part numbers and distinguish among various products.
  • Ability to complete written documentation with legible handwriting.
  • Ability to use tablets and computers to accurately complete production, quality, safety, and other required electronic documentation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other personnel.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed to meet customer and business requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all work in a safe manner and follows established safety procedures.
  • Complies with all company and plant safety, quality, and food safety requirements.
  • Packs quality products into cartons and on pallets according to established specifications.
  • Loads end boards onto molding machines as needed.
  • Rotates among all assigned packer positions and work areas as required by production needs.
  • Inspects products on a regular basis to ensure compliance with quality standards and promptly reports concerns.
  • Assists with the operation, monitoring, and cleaning of automated parts-handling equipment.
  • Prepares, verifies, and applies labels accurately, ensuring all required information is complete and correct.
  • Follows all packaging specifications, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Completes required production, quality, safety, and inventory documentation accurately, including electronic records using tablets and computers.
  • Works collaboratively with team members and other departments to achieve production objectives.
  • Communicates safety, quality, equipment, and production concerns effectively to supervisors and team members.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area through regular housekeeping activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
