Packer (Afternoons)
About The Position
The Packer position involves reviewing and completing work orders, ensuring the quality of extrusion products by checking for defects, and bundling products according to specific packing instructions. Responsibilities also include verifying and signing off on completed work orders and performing various plant floor housekeeping duties as needed. This role demands punctuality, excellent attendance, and the physical capability to perform duties such as extensive sitting, standing/walking, bending/kneeling/squatting, continuous lifting up to 75 pounds, using hand tools, inspecting operating equipment, and working in environments with extreme temperatures.
Requirements
- Working experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must have excellent attendance and work ethic.
- Commute to multiple company facilities and personnel, as needed.
- Engages in self-learning keeping up with industry trends, safety, and company information, as needed.
Responsibilities
- Review work order instructions.
- Complete Work Orders assigned.
- Review the quality of extrusion products (i.e.: length, surface, dents, defects, etc.) reporting any discrepancies.
- Bundle products following packing instructions from the work order.
- Review, verify, and sign the completion of work order.
- Various plant floor housekeeping, as needed.
