About The Position

This role is responsible for assembling boxes and properly aligning them on a packing machine to be filled with product. The position also involves inspecting, labeling, sealing, and stacking boxes on skids in preparation for product shipment.

Requirements

Must be capable of selecting appropriate size boxes for running product.
Must be able to assemble boxes with provided tape gun.
Ability to properly align 6-9 assembled boxes at the machine, without blocking aisles or exits.
Ability to stand on feet for 8-11.5 hours per day, a minimum of 5 days per week.
Willingness to work some mandatory overtime, potentially 6 days per week.
Ability to move, adjust, and position anywhere from 10 to 45 lbs.
Ability to identify, recognize, and assess documents, machinery, and more.
Must be able to position self to ground level as needed.
Must be able to communicate with subordinates.

Responsibilities

Safely handle and operate any machinery, tools, or equipment used.
Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
Select appropriate size boxes for running product and assemble boxes with a provided tape gun.
Properly align 6-9 assembled boxes at the machine without blocking aisles or exits.
Determine if the order requires caps; if so, fold the liner over bottles and insert caps at the top of the filled box. If no caps are required, insert the liner into the box so it can be folded over bottles before sealing.
Place boxes on a conveyor.
Randomly sample product at the end of the conveyor to check for visible defects and report any defects immediately to a supervisor.
Fold the liner over the product after inspection to avoid contamination.
Retrieve labels from the label machinery and place them on the completed box with proper placement and fitting.
Place labeled boxes on cooling skids for approximately 60 minutes before stacking on a finished skid.
After cooling is complete, seal the box with a tape gun and stack it onto a finished skid, ensuring labels are visible and following specific stacking requirements.
