About The Position

This role involves ensuring product quality and safety through various packing and inspection tasks. The Packer will be responsible for setting up and operating the Gevas machine, transferring finished products, and maintaining quality standards for all materials. Adherence to safety and food safety policies is paramount, along with proactive monitoring of raw materials and equipment to ensure continuous operation.

Requirements

Ability to follow safety rules.
Ability to inspect product for defects.
Ability to set up and operate Gevas machine.
Ability to transfer finished product.
Understanding of quality requirements for pads.
Adherence to food safety policies and procedures.
Ability to adjust stacker area.
Ability to monitor raw materials and notify operator of potential shutdowns.
Ability to clean rollers.
Willingness to assist Dri-Loc Operator.
Ability to place labels on cartons.
Ability to pull plastic bags per product specification.

Responsibilities

Follow all Safety rules and help watch others in area.
Inspect product as it travels pad conveyor table removing any defective product.
Set up Gevas machine in package product to specification.
Transfer finished product from conveyor table to either Gevas mini-bagger or corrugated boxes.
Assure all pads meet quality requirements.
Responsible for following all food safety policies and procedures.
Adjust the stacker area as needed to assure centered pads.
Help keep a watch over raw materials in process to assure continuous operations and notifying operator or assistant operator before machine is shut down.
Keep all rollers clean when process line is down.
Help Dri-Loc Operator as needed in assuring the best quality possible.
Places labels on plain cartons as required or needed.
Pull plastic bags as needed or required per product specification.
