About The Position

The Packer is responsible for packaging and shipment of materials, supplies, and products. This role performs basic administrative, clerical, operational, and computational tasks. Decisions are limited to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities, and timing. The role operates under close supervision and within established policies/practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation.

Requirements

Forklift certified required.
High school diploma, GED equivalent.
0-2 years of experience.
Attention to detail.
Must be reliable and have excellent attendance.

Responsibilities

Gathers, verifies, and packs items for shipment according to specifications and established procedures.
Ensures each order receives the correct paperwork, packing and shipping labels.
Accurately packages boxes requiring special handling according to specific process and policy requirements.
Understanding of LAM & Shinko packaging specifications, including labeling specifications.
Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers, using hand tools.
Seal container or materials, using glues, fasteners, nails, and hand tool.
Correctly sorts packages for specific ship type to correct locations.
Stages packages waiting for carrier pickup in specified areas.
Assist in loading outgoing shipments to assigned carriers using material handling equipment.
Cleans warehouse and packaging areas to ensure safe working conditions per 6s protocol.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.
