Requirements

Consisting of exerting average effort of lifting a box from the line up to middle of chest or shoulder level. Boxes range from a minimum of 2 pounds to the heaviest of 30 pounds. The average box is 12 pounds. Job duties are varied from making box, scanning QC checks, packing and lifting. Four different functions to complete one set. On the average an employee would lift 80 times/8 hours for a 12 pound box. Packing requires the use of the dominant hand for grasping with the help of the non-dominant hand. In 8 hours, packing the average box would consist of grasping 4800 times.

Responsibilities

Work from written and verbal instructions.
Pack products according to established packing procedures; inspect for quality, pattern and randomality.
Count product; check labels or tags for accuracy; insert literature; fold and assemble boxes.
Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment and materials.
Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, improper operations and unusual conditions to supervision.
Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
