About The Position

The Packer is primarily responsible for packing customer orders at a pack station. The role involves working individually for most of the day, pulling totes from a conveyor, understanding how to pack each order, and handling products carefully. Packers use and restock shipping materials and may need to safely use dry ice.

Requirements

• Some high school education or equivalent is preferred.
• Basic reading and counting skills.
• Ability to learn and use RF scanners daily.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, and twist with packages weighing up to 30 pounds continuously and 50 pounds on occasion.
• Ability to walk and stand for an entire 8–10-hour shift and stoop, kneel, crawl, and climb.
• Ability to use ladders and climb stairs repeatedly each day.
• Ability to use hand pallet jacks with payloads of 2,500 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

• Pack individual customer orders while working at a stationary pack station.
• Use and restock shipping materials at pack stations.
• Safely use dry ice as needed.
• Exceed department units-per-hour standards.
• Adhere to all safety, security, and SQF requirements.
• Work overtime as needed, including extra hours in a day and extra days in a week.
• Work to standard in any department outside of Configurable Gifts.
• Maintain reasonable and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties and work in other departments as assigned.
