About The Position

This position is responsible for reviewing work order instructions, completing assigned work orders, and ensuring the quality of extrusion products. The role involves bundling products according to packing instructions, verifying and signing off on completed work orders, and performing general plant floor housekeeping. Additionally, the Packer may be assigned other tasks by their department manager or supervisor. The job requires punctuality, excellent attendance, and the physical ability to perform various tasks for extended periods, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, stretching, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 75 pounds. The role also involves using hand tools, inspecting equipment, and working in extreme temperatures. Employees are required to wear appropriate PPE.

Requirements

• Working experience in a Manufacturing facility.
• Must possess good measuring skills with a tape measure.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have excellent attendance and work ethic.
• Commute to multiple company facilities and personnel, as needed.
• Engages in self-learning keeping up with industry trends, safety, and company information, as needed.
• Use of proper PPE (i.e: safety glasses, steel toe, ear plugs, gloves, etc.).
• Safety Rules and practices.
• Work Order
• Packing and Scrap Codes
• Packing Methods and practices
• Wood Saw Operations & Safety
• Counting Methods
• Proper lifting Technique
• Cleaning debris from products
• Basic housekeeping (i.e.: sweeping, wiping common work areas, trash removal, etc.)
• Various Measuring tools (i.e: square, tape measure, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Review work order instructions.
• Complete Work Orders assigned.
• Review the quality of extrusion products (i.e.: length, surface, dents, defects, etc.) reporting any discrepancies.
• Bundle products following packing instructions from the work order.
• Review, verify, and sign the completion of work order.
• Various plant floor housekeeping, as needed.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by department manager/supervisor.
• Attend and complete any Company or outsourced trainings, as assigned.
