About The Position

ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA) and Hümi, one of the nation’s largest ENT, Allergy, and Audiology medical practices, is seeking a Full-Time Surgical Coordinator for our Garden City office. This position reports directly to the Practice Site Administrator. The Surgical Coordinator is responsible for scheduling all surgeries for the physicians in the office.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must have experience in the medical field and knowledge of medical insurance
• Must have excellent communication and follow up skills

Nice To Haves

• Epic experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling all hospital and some in-office surgeries
• Communicating with hospitals to perform all necessary pre-operative requirements
• Contacting patients to explain responsibilities and all necessary pre-operative and post-operative requirements
• Administering surgical prep packets to patients which contains all required paperwork to be completed prior to surgery
• Precertifying all surgical procedures with the appropriate insurance company verifying eligibility, deductibles, and co pays.
