About The Position

The Packer inspects and packages plastic products to ensure they meet quality standards and are ready for shipment. The role involves working on a production line in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment, maintaining quality, efficiency, cleanliness, and safety. The position also carries responsibility for food safety, food quality, and site safety.

Requirements

Attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies.
Strong time-management and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift or move heavy objects as needed.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or packaging role.

Responsibilities

Inspect finished plastic products for defects, including cracks, deformities, or color inconsistencies.
Package products according to specifications, selecting appropriate packaging materials and ensuring proper sealing.
Accurately label packages with product information and required warning labels.
Monitor production line efficiency and identify and resolve packaging or production issues.
Communicate quality concerns to supervisors and collaborate on solutions.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, dispose of waste materials, and follow safety guidelines.
Monitor packaging-material inventory and notify supervisors when supplies need replenishment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Take responsibility for food safety, food quality, and site safety.
