About The Position

The Packer is responsible for unloading and verifying inbound shipments and picking, packing, loading, and sorting outbound shipments in the warehouse. The position also assists with cycle counting and inbound or outbound checkoff processes. The Packer helps ensure product quality, inventory accuracy, proper stacking and bin accuracy, and a clean, orderly work environment in accordance with safety and housekeeping protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of warehouse experience.
• Experience using warehouse equipment such as a hand truck/dolly, pallet jack, and order picker.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to perform warehouse duties such as picking, packing, sorting, shipping, and receiving.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds at any given time.
• Flexibility regarding job assignments, assisting other departments, and working overtime based on business needs.
• Basic math skills.
• Good attendance and demonstrated work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming shipments and verify quantities and labels against inbound paperwork.
• Inspect inbound shipments for freight damage and report damage to the appropriate parties.
• Pick, pack, and load customer orders according to established processes.
• Double-check carton quality for picked orders before loading.
• Return misplaced or erroneously pulled items to the proper bin location.
• Consolidate bin locations as directed.
• Maintain proper stack heights for products.
• Complete housekeeping responsibilities for the designated area and assist with department housekeeping as needed to keep work areas and bin locations clear and safe.
• Assist with cycle counting and inbound or outbound checkoff processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
