About The Position

This role is responsible for setting up equipment for startup, packing patties, and maintaining a clean work area by removing scraps from the production line. The position requires adherence to safety, food safety, and company policies. The job involves loading patties according to department specifications, identifying products that do not meet standards, and sliding packed patties onto a conveyor. It also includes keeping the line clear of scrap patties, ensuring patty lines are even, and removing doubles. The role requires setting up the work area with necessary equipment, performing minor equipment maintenance, and monitoring the production area for debris. Additionally, the position involves cleaning the work area at the end of the shift, which may include sweeping, picking up debris, and spraying down work areas. The job requires the ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, work with machinery and chemicals, and perform tasks like standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting for 8-hour periods on a concrete floor in temperatures of 35 degrees Fahrenheit or less for a minimum of 8 hours.

Requirements

  • Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
  • Willing and able to perform tasks for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
  • Willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit for a minimum of 8 hours.
  • Must complete the task after submitting an application to provide additional information to be considered for employment.
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Set up equipment in preparation for startup.
  • Pack patties and keep scraps cleaned off the line.
  • Adhere to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies.
  • Load patties within department specifications.
  • Recognize product that may not meet standards.
  • Slide packed patties onto conveyor line.
  • Keep fresh scrap patties off the line.
  • Keep patties lines even and take doubles off the line.
  • Set up area with all needed equipment.
  • Perform minor maintenance on equipment.
  • Monitor production area for trash and food debris on floor.
  • Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead Person, Supervisor or Superintendent.
