About The Position

This role involves ensuring product quality and safety by understanding customer specifications, visually inspecting products for defects, and maintaining a clean work environment. The Packer Packout will identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their supervisor, such as product tampering, adulteration, unauthorized access to restricted areas, or equipment malfunctions that could compromise product safety. The position requires working in a cold environment and standing/walking for the entire workday.

Requirements

• Ability to work at a temperature of 38 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Ability to stand/walk 100% of the workday.
• Understanding of customer specifications for each product.
• Ability to visually scan products and manually realign misshapen items.
• Ability to visually scan products and manually separate marriages.
• Adherence to plant GMP policies for hygiene and cleanliness.
• Ability to physically inspect products for defects (natural and processing).
• Ability to identify and report suspicious or abnormal situations.

Responsibilities

• Know and understand the customer specifications for each product.
• Visually scan multiple pieces of product and manually realign any misshapen items.
• Visually scan multiple pieces of product and manually separate marriages.
• Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies.
• Physically inspect products for both natural occurring and processing defects.
• Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or plant management official.
