About The Position

This role involves visually inspecting products to ensure they meet customer specifications, removing any non-conforming items, and maintaining a high level of personal hygiene and cleanliness. The Grader will physically inspect products for both natural and processing defects, such as bruises, blood spots, foreign material, and out-of-spec product. Additionally, the employee must identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their supervisor, including potential product tampering, willful adulteration, unauthorized personnel in restricted areas, or equipment malfunctions that could compromise product safety.

Requirements

• Ability to work at a temperature of 38 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Ability to stand/walk 100% of the workday.
• Understanding of customer specifications for each product.
• Ability to visually scan and manually remove non-conforming products.
• Knowledge of plant GMP policies.
• Ability to physically inspect products for defects.
• Ability to identify and report suspicious or abnormal situations.

Responsibilities

• Know and understand the customer specification for each product.
• Visually scan multiple pieces of product and manually remove any pieces not conforming to the specification.
• Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies.
• Physically inspect products for both natural occurring and processing defects.
• Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or plant management official.
