About The Position

This role involves packaging life-saving medicines on a high-speed computerized assembly line. The position requires conducting visual inspections, moving product on and off the assembly line, and strictly adhering to standard operating procedures and documentation requirements. The individual will also be responsible for identifying and reporting problems, making minor equipment adjustments, assisting with changeovers and setups, and ensuring packaged products meet all specifications. Continuous training and training of other crew members are expected, along with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including wearing clean room safety equipment. Overtime may be required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Must be able to perform repetitive work.
• Must be able to focus on details for periods of time [i.e. visual inspection, labeling].
• Must be able to use pallet jacks to pull/push pallets of product.
• Must be able to pass Vision 5 visual acuity testing administered by occupational health administrator, pre-employment and annually thereafter.
• The successful candidate must be able to effectively speak, read, write, and understand English to perform the essential functions of the position, including independently understanding policies, procedures, training materials, and workplace communications written in English due to our heavily regulated work environment.

Nice To Haves

• Must be willing to become qualified inspector.
• Previous machine operator experience or mechanical aptitude are preferred, particularly HMI experience.

Responsibilities

• Package life-saving medicines on high-speed computerized assembly line.

• Identify and report problems.
• Make minor adjustments and assist with changeover and set-up to equipment.
• Visually inspect vials and labels.
• Assure that the packaged product meets all specifications.
• Perform visual inspection of labeled vials.
• Comply with all SOP's and cGMP's.
• Continue to train as well as train other crew members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assure a safe working environment and wear clean room safety equipment/apparel.
• Work overtime as needed.
