About The Position

Duties include inspecting and packing bottles on assigned line(s). Responsible for general housekeeping and assisting in scrap removal.

Complete required information on exception reports as indicated per procedure.
Communication and reporting of non-conforming ware or problems noted during shift to next shift.
Responsible for knowledge of quality standards, specifications, and quality complaints.
General understanding of quality requirements for all containers.
Personal inspection of product quality.
Responsible for enforcing safety policies and reporting safety violations.
Know and apply written safety procedures.
Inspect work areas and look for unsafe acts or situations.
Maintain clean work areas.
Train new personnel on job requirements.
Maximize production of quality product.
Follow Silgan standard practices.
Effective use of verbal and written communications.
Be able to read and effectively use information on Pick Lists posted on lines.
Packing/Stacking assigned lines as required per procedures with effective and efficient acceptability.
Understanding of stacking patterns, job folders, and customer specifications.
Administer both Company and local policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards.
Adhere to Silgan dress codes including appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as earplugs, safety glasses, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
