About The Position

Duties include inspecting and packing bottles on assigned line(s). Responsible for general housekeeping and assisting in scrap removal.

Must be dependable.
Must have a good attendance record.
Must be able to understand bottle specifications to assure proper bottle inspection.

Complete required information on exception reports as indicated per procedure.
Communicate and report non-conforming ware or problems noted during shift to the next shift.
Maintain knowledge of quality standards, specifications, and quality complaints.
Perform personal inspection of product quality.
Enforce safety policies and report safety violations.
Know and apply written safety procedures.
Inspect work areas and look for unsafe acts or situations.
Maintain clean work areas.
Train new personnel on job requirements.
Maximize production of quality product.
Follow Silgan standard practices.
Use effective verbal and written communication.
Read and effectively use information on Pick Lists posted on lines.
Perform packing/stacking on assigned lines as required per procedures with effective and efficient acceptability.
Understand stacking patterns, job folders, and customer specifications.
Administer both Company and local policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards.
Adhere to Silgan dress codes including appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as earplugs, safety glasses, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned.
