About The Position

Spacesaver is seeking a Packer/Crater who is skilled in craftsmanship and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. This role involves creating and assembling wooden pallets, preparing, packaging, and crating products for safe shipping, verifying part quantities against customer orders, and ensuring production flows smoothly while meeting quality and safety standards. The position also encourages participation in continuous improvement activities and cross-training.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic math and measuring skills.
• Comfortable with PCs for scanning and data entry.
• Ability to read and follow instructions in English.
• Skilled with tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools.
• A team player with strong time management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Cut and assemble wooden pallets using powered and hand tools.
• Prepare, package, and crate products for safe shipping.
• Verify part quantities and types against customer orders and spot shortages before they become issues.
• Follow shop orders, collaborate with leads, and keep production flowing.
• Meet or beat production goals while maintaining top-notch quality.
• Operate tools and equipment responsibly and follow all safety guidelines.
• Practice 5S principles and maintain a clean, efficient workspace.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and cross-train in other areas.
