About The Position

The Packer Associate works in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment and performs work that may involve operating a forklift or other material-handling equipment, which the company classifies as safety-sensitive. The role requires compliance with facility safety rules, proper use of personal protective equipment, reporting hazards and incidents, and helping maintain a safe workplace.

Work takes place in varying weather and may involve hot, cold, humid, or loud conditions, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and forklift traffic. The position involves frequent standing, walking, handling products, reaching, and twisting or rotating the torso, with lifting up to 25 pounds.

Requirements

• Obtain a Powered Industrial Truck Certificate through the company's in-house training and licensing.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to meet the position's physical activity demands, including standing, walking, product handling, reaching, and twisting or rotating the torso.
• Must have close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Corrective lenses may be worn with protective safety overglasses, or employees may use the company's Safety Prescription Program.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all facility safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
• Report unsafe practices or conditions to a supervisor.
• Intervene when coworkers engage in rule violations or unsafe or unhealthy activities.
• Inform management when employees persist in violating safety rules or procedures.
• Wear required personal protective equipment correctly and report defective PPE.
• Report near misses, accidents, injuries, and musculoskeletal symptoms or disorders.
• Handle products and perform associated work activities in the manufacturing or warehouse environment.
