Requirements

  • High School Diploma and 2-3 years assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and precision in packaging tasks.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability to consistently meet production goals.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and willingness to take on new tasks as required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures in English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Must have the ability to perform all tasks with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, managers, other stakeholders.
  • Should possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Manually wrap elevator products using shrink wrap and other packaging materials as required.
  • Package all items per defined standards to ensure delivery quality to our customer – may including boxing, bubble-, stretch-, or shrink wrapping, strapping.
  • Perform saw cutting as part of the packaging process.
  • Utilize measuring tape accurately to ensure packaging meets specifications.
  • Operate tools such as nail guns, C clamps, and blow torches as needed for packaging tasks.
  • Lift and move heavy elevator components and packaged products.
  • Ability to read and interpret measurements using a measuring tape.
  • Utilize computer and ERP systems to identify and pull required pick lists for the shift.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the packaging area.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
