About The Position

As a Packaging Technician at Opella Consumer Healthcare, you will help ensure smooth and efficient operation of packaging machinery, including tube fillers, bottle fillers, and cappers. You will set up, clean, and maintain equipment and support production through safe, consistent, quality-focused work. This is a second-shift position, Monday through Thursday, from 2:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Experience in manufacturing or production, including operating high-speed packaging or assembly equipment, start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
Proficiency operating packaging machinery and tools, including electric and manual lift trucks, tape machines, fillers, cappers, labelers, and bundlers.
Ability to lift 25–60 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
Exceptional coordination, manual dexterity, and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to comply with dress code regulations, complete required training, and work around product, dust, grease, and packing machinery hazards.

Responsibilities

Use tools to disassemble and reassemble machinery as needed.
Prepare packaging lines for different products and ensure components and equipment are set up correctly.
Provide packaging supplies and bulk products to maintain operations.
Monitor product quality and reject materials or packages that do not meet FDA-cGMP standards.
Document and maintain fill levels according to product specifications.
Operate packaging lines according to Set-Up Sheets, Standard Packaging Instructions (SPIs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other procedures.
Maintain a safe work environment, report hazards, and develop skills to comply with FDA and cGMP requirements.
Operate and maintain production lines to support safety, quality, and output.
Troubleshoot equipment and propose simpler or more effective ways to keep operations running.
