Make a difference as a Plymouth- Packaging Technician-1st Shift As a new Packaging Technician on the 1st Shift at Placon Corporation, you can expect an engaging and fast-paced environment where your skills will shine! Your day-to-day tasks will involve setting up and operating packaging machinery, inspecting products for quality assurance, and ensuring that all packaging meets our high standards. Collaboration with team members is key, as you'll be working together to troubleshoot any issues that arise and continuously improve processes. Your schedule will be Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with occasional overtime as needed to meet production demands. You will also keep meticulous records of production metrics and participate in team meetings for ongoing training and development. Requirements

  • Proficiency in operating thermoforming machines
  • Proficiency in operating case tapers
  • Expertise in using measurement tools to ensure product accuracy
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Oracle
  • Solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Solid understanding of 5S methodology
  • Basic math problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to safety
  • Adherence to PPE compliance
  • Ability to read product drawings and perform dimensional measurements
  • Ability to work through differing perspectives and resolve conflict in a respectful and professional manner
