About The Position

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor/FSQA Manager/Supvervisor, packages all raw and smoked products. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of Southside Market & Barbeque.

Requirements

One to two years’ of food manufacturing experience preferred
Food Handler Certification required
Ability to understand English for all job-related circumstances.
Ability to add, subtract, using whole numbers.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Responsibilities

Cuts and packages processed products.
Uses shrink machine to wrap packages
Labels all packages according to USDA guidelines
Weighs and prices all packaged products
Boxes all products and prepares them for shipping
Operates the packaging machine.
Weighs and prices product
Produces raw product according to USDA
Sanitizes and maintains packaging equipment
Cleans and sanitizes the packaging area according to USDA
Observes safety and security standards.
