About The Position

This role involves performing various tasks related to product packaging and assembly, ensuring that products meet engineering and sales specifications. The team member will utilize a range of shop tools and equipment, including sanders, drills, and air/electric hand cutting tools. Responsibilities include material fit-ups, layouts with steel, positioning and securing workpieces, inspecting products for defects, sanding/grinding, breaking out steel, steel panel assembly, and material handling with forklifts.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalent, required
• Heavy equipment experience required
• Able to use power tools
• Able to read tape measure
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to read blueprints
• Able to troubleshoot and problem solve
• Must be highly motivated
• Able to communicate and work well with others
• Read, write and speak English fluently

Nice To Haves

• Shipping experience, preferred

Responsibilities

• Measure, compare and make simple or complex shop calculations necessary to ensure products are in conformance with engineering or sales specifications using materials, methods and equipment in the shop (included but not limited to sanders, drills, air, and electric hand cutting tools)
• Material fit ups and layouts with steel
• Position and secure workpieces using hand tools, forklifts, etc.
• Inspect products/equipment for defects/malfunctions
• Sanding/grinding
• Breaking out steel
• Steel panel assembly with bolt together construction
• Material handling/forklift
