Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
6 months of Packaging Operator experience preferred.
Some lead experience preferred.
Good mechanical skills.
Capable of lifting 25 pounds and standing for a minimum of 12 hours.
Able to work with multiple types of equipment simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Coordinates with Shift Supervisor the packaging needs on production equipment.
Ensures all lines are adequately supplied with materials needed (e.g., Foil, Cartons, Trays).
Assists Packaging Operators as needed to ensure a smooth workflow.
Sets up and operates multiple types of packaging equipment, which may include carton erectors, partition inserters, product inserters, top closers, and palletization equipment.
Ensures labels correctly match the product in facilities where manual labeling is required.
Manages and assigns break schedules for packers.
Supports troubleshooting and training initiatives for Packers.
Audits packer standard work and completion.
Audits packer quality checks and completion.
