We are on a mission to bake the highest quality garlic bread in the industry, and we’re looking for a Packaging Team Lead who can help us achieve that! Join our Team As the Packaging Team Lead , you’ll be an integral part of our production team, working closely with the Operations Supervisor to ensure smooth daily operations. You’ll lead a team of 11-15 associates, focusing on hitting production targets, improving processes, and maintaining a safe and high-quality work environment.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in English both written and oral communication
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform minor equipment maintenance

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred (training provided)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and reporting tools is a plus
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Are bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Lead & Manage Production: Oversee production and packaging activities on high-speed lines. Act as the go-to resource for team members, resolving minor issues and ensuring production goals are met.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with support departments (QA, Warehousing, Sanitation, Maintenance) to ensure smooth integration and alignment of production goals. Fostering teamwork and collaboration among associates.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Optimize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by addressing bottlenecks, minimizing downtime, and implementing Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Foster Team Engagement: Lead, coach, and develop your team, promoting involvement in continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities.
  • Troubleshoot and Adjust Equipment: Demonstrate mechanical aptitude by performing minor equipment adjustments, clearing jams, and replacing simple parts to keep production running smoothly. Assist with diagnosing basic mechanical or technical issues and coordinating with the maintenance team when needed.
  • Improve Processes: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives like Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices. Identify bottlenecks and recommend ways to optimize workflows.
  • Ensure Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and food safety standards, including GMP, SQF, and HACCP protocols.
