About The Position

The Packaging Team Lead coordinates with the Shift Supervisor to ensure production equipment has the necessary packaging materials. This role involves ensuring all lines are adequately supplied with materials such as foil, cartons, and trays, and assisting Packaging Operators to maintain a smooth workflow. The Team Lead is responsible for setting up and operating various packaging equipment, including carton erectors, partition inserters, product inserters, top closers, and palletization equipment. Additionally, they ensure labels correctly match the product where manual labeling is required. This position description is not all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 6 months of Packaging Operator experience
Good mechanical skills
Capable of lifting 25 pounds
Capable of standing for a minimum of 12 hours
Able to work with multiple types of equipment simultaneously
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 lbs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Required to act in a safe and environmentally responsible manner at all times by adhering to all ALPLA policies and procedures and Safety Standards (OSHA).
